An angel in the book of life wrote down my baby's birth. Then whispered as she closed the book  "too beautiful for earth"

BLESS is an organisation that offers a variety of support services to parents when their baby dies during pregnancy or after birth. Founded in 2010, BLESS was created to provide practical help, emotional support and answers to questions that grieving parents face in the minutes, days, weeks and months after the loss of a child.

Losing your child is a truly devastating experience, and there is nothing more heartbreaking than leaving hospital without your baby in your arms. The grief process you endure can be utterly overwhelming - it is an emotional and exhausting reality to face, but not only are you left with your grief, there is also the added pressure of having to make arrangements to say your final goodbye.

Nicky Grant is the founder of BLESS. She and her partner lost their son after he was born prematurely. Realising very quickly that there was a huge lack of local support for baby loss, Nicky wanted to put in place a support network for families who experience such heartache, starting with her local community.
